Acrylics on canvas, 36″ x 36″ x 1.5″. Inspired by a true “shooting star” named Winter the dolphin who passed away on November 11, 2021. She brought joy and love to millions during her short but cherished life. In 2005, and at the young age of only two months, she was rescued from being entangled in a crab net resulting in the loss of her tail. She was not expected to make it, but with the help and determination of her caretakers at the Clearwater Marine Aquarium in Florida, she survived and was fit for a prosthetic tail which helped her to swim again, become a real movie star, and live a happy and inspirational life for 16 years! She remains in the hearts of her human friends. This painting is gallery-wrapped and ready to hang. Thanks for lookin’!
