Tony A. Blue “Art in a Double-wide” expect the unexpected
Having lived and worked around the area for the past 35 or 40 years, artist Tony Blue has decided to open his studio to the public – just in time for the holidays! His original paintings, photography, and hand-crafted metal jewelry will be on display and offered at special studio discounts. In addition, the unique designs of local artisan CAB Jewelry will be featured.
The reception is Saturday (Dec. 5, 2015) at 31 Sophie Avenue in Dunedin, FL from 1-4 p.m. Mark your calendar and expect the unexpected!
Over the years, Tony Blue has shown in many galleries and done all the local art shows from Dunedin’s Art Harvest to the Mainsail show in St. Petersburg and has picked up many awards along the way. However, this is the very first time he has been so inclined to open his studio to the public! “I’m somewhat of a private person” he says “but since the bottom fell out of the economy and I haven’t been doing outdoor shows, I hope to expose my new work by opening my studio Saturday afternoon.” In closing he said “I’m calling it Art in a Double-wide but t’s not your grandpappy’s trailer, expect the unexpected!”
Thank you to the writer and photographer for the article. Don’t know why the “on line” images are reversed though. Here is the link…
re: Tony Blue’s art…
“I love the moving, sublime qualities in your abstract paintings. Each of your works is incredibly elemental. Using an amazing array of colors, shadows and contrasts your light-filled paintings express a range of emotion that stimulate the eye and the mind. I find your work to be fresh and contemporary and I’d love to know more about them.”

I believe she represents a “vanity gallery” in NYC and is affiliated with NY Arts Magazine. I’m not interested in a vanity gallery but it was nice to hear the kind words anyway.
